In 2023 I had the opportunity to travel to Egypt with my dear friend Anna. We stayed at the apartment of her Aunt, in Cairo. When we were there, her Aunt was in the process of moving out of the apartment that had been home to several generations of Coptic Egyptians. The apartment was built in the 1910's-1920s in the Belle Époque style.

Towards the end of our trip we took the train to Luxor, where we spent four days exploring the desert
